Ecotone has renewed its B Corp™ certification in 2025

Ecotone has renewed its B Corp™ certification in 2025 with an exceptional score of 123.7 points, a significant increase compared to its already very high previous score. With this fourth consecutive recognition of its impact‑driven business model, Ecotone demonstrates that it is possible to combine economic performance with social and environmental impact by placing organic and plant‑based food, and agroecological practices at the heart of its model.

Ecotone proudly recertified B Corp

The renewed score places Ecotone as the world’s best performing food company (> 1,000 employees) in terms of social and environmental impact according to B Corp™ standards.

Increasing its score by 6%, Ecotone is one of a smaller group of food companies to surpass 100 points – 80 points are required to obtain B Corp™ certification and the median score for businesses that undergo the assessment is 50.9.
This achievement reflects Ecotone’s ambition to transform the standards of the food industry by making organic and plant based food the new norm.

**
A pioneering and consistent B Corp™ journey since 2017**

For nearly a decade, Ecotone has been committed to transforming its business model through measurement, transparency, and continuous improvement of its social and environmental impact.

“B Corp™ is more than a certification—it’s a compass that helps us understand where to focus our efforts to accelerate the transition. We are extremely proud, not only because the changes are transformative and our more assertive public positions expose us, but because we firmly believe companies have a duty to “do their part”, especially in a context of political rollback on major regulations such as CSRD or the reauthorization of certain chemical pesticides.”Emilie Lowenbach, CSR & Communications Director of Ecotone

Since its previous certification in 2022, Ecotone has taken on new challenges to amplify its impact. The company is collaborating with NGOs, mobilising citizens, and speaking out against the use of synthetic chemical pesticides – advocating for a transition to an organic food model.

Ecotone also defines and deploys science‑based climate and biodiversity pathways, using frameworks such as SBTi (Science-Based Target Initiative) and SBTN (Science-Based Targets for Nature), to measure and effectively reduce its impacts.

Putting its employees at the heart of its mission for change, Ecotone strengthens internal engagement through a sustainability objective for all employees and year‑round awareness initiatives. Furthermore, in five years, the share of women in leadership positions rose from 32% to 47%, demonstrating the company’s commitment to building real and lasting gender parity.

Ecotone’s impressive B Corp™ recognition is rooted in longstanding, structural commitments fully integrated into its business model:

**
B Corp™: a driver of collective transformation**

Ecotone once again joins the global community of 10,000 B Corp™ certified companies working to build a more inclusive, equitable, and responsible economy.

In a rapidly changing climate, Ecotone reaffirms that food is a key lever for addressing health, climate, and biodiversity challenges.

“This new B Corp™ certification is a source of pride for our company and our teams. It recognises our business model, which combines economic performance with positive social and environmental impact. It is also a strong signal. At a time when consumers are increasingly concerned about their food, their health, and the future of the planet, this certification shows that another food model is necessary, possible and efficient. And today, we prove it.”Christophe Barnouin, CEO of Ecotone
